Well, duhhhhh

"Russian critics of the Kyoto Protocol, which calls for cuts in CO2 emissions, say that the theory underlying the pact lacks scientific basis. Under the Theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming, it is human-generated greenhouse gases, and mainly CO2, that cause climate change. 'The Kyoto theorists have put the cart before the horse,' says renowned Russian geographer Andrei Kapitsa. 'It is global warming that triggers higher levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, not the other way round.'"

So where's my money back for all the stupid programs?

Al Gore and his Global Warming cronies are attempting one of the grandest hood-winkings in the history of modern civilization. They've convinced just about everyone of their "conventional wisdom" regarding CO2, despite the fact that if you actually look at his big fancy graph you can see quite plainly that CO2 rates follow warming by several hundred years.

The numbers don't lie. The people lie about the numbers.

Spot on, E.D. This is the biggest fraud in history. I simply can't believe it.

What's really fun is talking with "believers." They almost universally have no evidence to support their belief in global warming. They cite conventional wisdom as though it were gospel! (hell, even citing gospel as though it were gospel is a lousy way to run a debate!)

I know! You tell someone, "Temperature FOLLOWS carbon, not the other way around" -- basic science -- and their response is, "Well, the overwhelming majority of scientists agree with the IPCC" (not true -- but try and tell them THAT).

Sheesh.
