A rose by any other name ....

"Some names are so weird they constitute child abuse, according to a court in New Zealand.

"The family court judge reached that conclusion after hearing evidence in the case of a girl named 'Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii.'"

The names at the end are a hoot.

I liked "Sex Fruit".

It works on so many levels!

I wonder though, if this court ruling wasn't an infringement into these peoples' personal lives?

I guess it depends on where the bad parenting ends and the nanny state begins.

Sigh....

While on the one hand I think parents should be able to name their children whatever they want, on the other, some of these names may very well be an embarrassment (and, in fact, are).

Still, though, keep freedom intact, thinks me.

No one went after magician/comedian Penn Jillette when he named his daughter Moxie Crimefighter Jillette!
