"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

~C.S. Lewis

Yeah, those libs are definitely meaner. And they do it for our own good....

Ah, Erik, WHAT an excellent quote.

And rejoinder.

Spot on.

I think it's all about the cult of victimhood liberals seem to find refuge in. Failing at so many of life's demands, or at least feeling themselves inferior to others for one reason or another, they hide under the umbrella of incompetence, and demand that we all adhere to the lowest common denominator.

My dad says it in a nutshell: "There ain't no free lunch."
