Uhh, in case you have been sleeping for a while, there already are national taxes on booze and tobacoo.
Ah, yes. Only not so punitive, heretofore.
Those of us who like our tobacco addiction --
... which, contrary to popular science, does NOT add heavy weight to health-care costs --
-- have learned how to end-run around the government.
And will continue to do so. Until the government is brought down -- as it will, eventually, of its own nanny-weight.
